Minarc’s virtuosity with unusual materials also comes through in this sleek penthouse apartment, which won a special focus nod for bath lighting. The powder room features a glowing red floor made of Plexiglas, LED lights, and lava stone, which “flows” out into the living room. In the master bath, soffit lighting and embedded LED tiles create a sparkling effect on wall and floor coverings made of obsidian, a mineral-like volcanic glass.
