AIA Announces 2018 Housing Awards Winners

This year's program highlights work by Alterstudio Architecture, Bates Masi + Architects, and Lorcan O'Herlihy Architects, among others.

Today the American Institute of Architects announced the winners of the 2018 Housing Awards. The 11 recipients of this year’s program include a variety of single-family and multifamily residences ranging in scale from a small infill house in New Orleans to residential colleges at Yale University. The awards span four categories: One- and Two-Family Custom Residences, One- and Two-Family Production Homes, Multifamily Housing, and Specialized Housing.

The 2018 jury was comprised of chair Victor Mirontschuk, FAIA, EDI International in New York; Luis Jauregui, FAIA, Jauregui Architecture Interiors Construction in Austin, Texas; Adrianne Steichen, AIA, Pyatok Architects in Oakland, Calif.; John Thatch, AIA, Dahlin Group Architecture | Planning in Pleasanton, Calif.; and our own Katie Gerfen, design editor at ARCHITECT.
