Daniel M. Ryan, founder and CEO of Dan Ryan Builders, has received the Robert L. Mitchell Founders Award from the Home Builders Care Foundation, Inc., the official charity of the Maryland Building Industry Association.

The award is presented in recognition of lifetime achievement in philanthropy and community outreach, particularly in the state of Maryland and through HBCF efforts, including its charitable construction projects and its community service programs.

“HBCF works to give back to the community by utilizing the skills and resources of the building industry members to serve the homeless and others in need of shelter and care,” says Mike Karns, president of HBCF. “As a supporter of HBCF and a well-respected industry leader with an active history of giving back, Dan understands the value of our work and has demonstrated community involvement and charity throughout his distinguished career.”

Dan Ryan was honored with Builder Magazine’s Hearthstone Builder Humanitarian Award in 2015. His company, Dan Ryan Homes, has built over 15,000 single-family homes in the Mid-Atlantic region over the past twenty-eight years.

“I am so proud to be a home builder and to be a part of an industry that cares deeply for its customers and the communities that they are a part of. It is such an honor to receive the Robert L. Mitchell award,” Ryan said.
