AN ANGLED WALL WAS A SIGNIFICANT architectural feature in the original kitchen of this mid–19th-century townhouse. The redesigned space mimics the angle on the opposing wall, creating a dramatic false perspective—one that leads the eye to a vintage stained-glass window and the view beyond. Craftsman-style details found throughout the home are celebrated in the kitchen’s new cabinetry and “strapping” on the walls and ceiling. Display niches highlight the owner’s collection of breakfast cereal figurines, adding a touch of whimsy.
