Spring Valley Residence

Washington

THE RENOVATION OF this 1928 Washington residence included the replacement of all the existing glass openings to help maximize the visual connection to the site. Instead of predictable wood windows to replace the mismatched existing metal and wood units, however, Muse Architects opted for steel French doors and casements. Steel has crisp lines for a clean look, and the material’s strength allows the window members to have narrower profiles.
