The antique oak vanity, custom-built to resemble furniture, as well as the wainscoting, tumbled marble floor laid in a basket weave pattern, and soapstone countertop and backsplash help connect the design to the 1930s-era home.
Challenge: Minimal disruption. The remodeler took great care in working with the old home’s framing and created an exterior entrance through a window so as not to disturb the main living areas. Judges appreciated: “The wainscoting and the economy of space. It makes a beautiful picture.”
