Web-based training provider BuildIQ recently launched a new set of online tools intended to connect home builders with best practices information supplied by industry product manufacturers and service providers. The Best Practices Community program, located at www.community.buildiq.com, provides access to search engines, e-newsletters, jobsite solutions, and online training courses.
The program’s goal is to provide best practices resources that will help builders create higher-quality homes, according to BuildIQ’s managing director, David Ulicne. BuildIQ has asked industry-leading product manufacturers and service providers to become founding members of the program and to disseminate their best practice information through its resources.
Builders can use four tools on the Best Practices Community Web site:
BuildIQ Search—for high-quality, relevant results
BuildIQ Jobsite—information on topics critical to builders’ business performance and home quality. Subscribe to the Jobsite News e-newsletter for periodic updates.
BuildIQ Toolbelt—offers solutions to common and costly warranty issues, as well as checklists, spec sheets, inspection tools, and step-by-step instructions.
BuildIQ University—provides online training courses on best practices to help builders increase performance, manage risk, and save money.
