The Fish Shack is almost a dead-ringer for the cottages found on Nantucket Island about 62 miles away. This home, however, is designed with modern-day materials such as fiberglass doors, insulated windows, and Zip Wall sheathing.
Measuring 1,200 square feet, the cottage features picket fencing, beadboard porch ceilings, and wide-plank floors. It’s “designed for people who want life to be a little simpler and a little easier, without sacrificing personal comfort or privacy,” Plymouth, Mass.–based builder Barefoot Cottage Co. says.
