Burrows Tapped to Head Weyerhaeuser R.E.

1 MIN READ

Since Dan Fulton took a big leap up the corporate ladder at Weyerhaeuser in December 2007, management has been contemplating whom to select to fill his former role as the head of the company’s home building subsidiary. On Thursday, March 13, Larry Burrows was selected as president and CEO of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Co.

Burrows will vacate his current position as president of Winchester Homes, a move-up home builder in the Washington, D.C., market, effective March 31. During his tenure at Winchester, Burrows is credited with an implementing an effective repositioning of the brand as an upscale builder and developing strong quality and customer satisfaction programs.

In his new position, Burrows will oversee five home building companies, spread from D.C. to California. However, with 32 years of home building experience under his belt, Burrows will likely take the new responsibilities in stride. Fulton told Big Builder in an interview in December, “We have great senior management in WRECO. I think that’s one of our strengths.”
