The Coverings international tile & stone show invites the building industry to celebrate the second annual National Tile Day on February 23, 2018.
National Tile Day, first established and registered with National Day Calendar in 2017, builds on the tile industry’s “Why Tile?” initiative with an annual celebration of tile’s merits in architecture, building and design. These merits include tile’s beauty and flexibility, as well as its durability, sustainability, resilience, versatility in indoor and outdoor use, easy upkeep and maintenance, energy-efficiency, and health benefits, including zero VOC emissions.
“As the second National Tile Day approaches, we look forward to taking a moment to recognize and celebrate the many benefits of tile, and continuing to educate trade and consumer audiences on the elements of tile that make it an outstanding material for a diverse array of residential or commercial projects,” says Alena Capra, Coverings’ Industry Ambassador. “In addition, National Tile Day acts as a preview to the innovative and exciting tile products and trends that will shape industry conversations at Coverings in May.”
The National Tile Day celebrations will include digital activations and opportunities for trade professionals and consumers to learn more about tile. Industry members are invited to share tile products, trends or products on social media with the #WhyTile, #NationalTileDay, and #Coverings2018 hashtags.
The Coverings show will follow National Tile Day from May 8-11 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga.
