Highly sought after by designers, the Sherwin-Williams Company has unveiled its 2026 Colormix Trend Forecast Anthology Volume Two, the second iteration of its biennial approach to the annual color trend report. This iteration will focus on color evolution and will dive deeper into the evolution of specific color families that will shape the future of design, Sherwin-Williams says.
Featuring four expertly curated palettes developed, the trend forecast highlights the up-and-coming colors that will define what will be next in 2026 and beyond. Comprised of 48 hand-selected hues, including pastels, reds and golds, darks, and neutrals, the curated collection is organized by color families, shifting the emphasis away from traditional style and trend storytelling as the brand’s previous Colormix Trend Forecast reports.
“With Anthology Volume Two, we’re continuing to evolve how we tell the story of color,” says Emily Kantz, color marketing manager at Sherwin-Williams. “This forecast goes beyond aesthetic trends to explore the emotional impact and practical beauty of color families that stand the test of time. These palettes are designed to inspire creativity while offering designers, professionals, and homeowners grounded, usable color direction across every space.”
From the Colormix Trend Forecast, Sherwin-Williams’ highly anticipated Color of the Year is drawn, and its featured Colors of the Month for the upcoming year. The four palettes and their hues are below.
Palette No. 1:Â Frosted Tints
Fresh lavenders, blues, aquamarines, and greens move into a new era with a chill, a hush, and a deliberate dose of near-weightless color. An evolution of the delicate tints from previous forecasts, milky pastels are making their commanding return, debuting in spaces defined by clean lines, artful accents, and elevated styling.
