Radiant Lilac, while bold and inviting, has been crowned Sherwin-Williams’ Loneliest Color 2025. Blending tradition and modernity, Radiant Lilac SW 0074 infuses spaces with warmth, authenticity, and energy.
“We’re always looking for ways to inspire consumers to take bold and unexpected approaches in their color choices. The Loneliest Color is exactly that—celebrating the unique, daring shades that have often been overlooked and would have been considered unconventional before,” shares Sue Wadden, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams. “At its core, color is about making fearless decisions and finding beauty in the unexpected.”
Sherwin-Williams, which tints millions of gallons across its top colors each year, only tinted fewer than 1,000 gallons of Radiant Lilac in 2024. The hue lends itself to an array of eclectic design styles from modern to bohemian.
In terms of application, Wadden says, “I recommend highlighting architectural features, a statement furniture, or even painted kitchen cabinets for a bold yet refined touch. Any of the above lend themselves well to DIY projects for homeowners.”
