A Missouri home builder is bringing its successful full-service approach to land development to a new community in Kansas.
Later this summer Summit Custom Homes, the largest new home builder in the Kansas City area, is set to open the Reserve at Ravenwood, its first “Summit Exclusive Community” in Kansas. The Lee’s Summit, Mo.-based builder currently operates 12 Summit Exclusive Communities in Missouri, in which the company develops and maintains residential building lots and community amenities as well as serves as the exclusive new home builder.
As both the developer and builder, Summit is able to protect buyers from unexpected subsurface conditions by pledging to cover any additional expenses incurred from rocky Midwest soil, says the firm. Additionally, the dual role allows Summit to assure buyers that the community and its amenities will be well-maintained and create lasting value.
The first phase of the Reserve at Ravenwood will feature four new model homes, with prices starting in the low $300s. Floor plans were designed and value-engineered to minimize waste and maximize value, according to the firm, and a series of preselected design packages created by an in-house designer will help streamline the selection process for busy buyers. Designed with energy-saving technologies such as advanced framing, low-E windows, and moisture-resistant housewrap, the homes will be 15% more efficient than code-built homes, the firm says.
The Reserve at Ravenswood will feature a swimming pool and is five minutes from Mill Creek Streamway Park, which connects to scenic walking and biking trails along the 17-mile Gary L. Haller National Recreation Trail. Alos nearby is a large shopping and dining complex offering a Walmart and nearly a dozen restaurants.
