It’s not just a throwback amenity. Wet bars can also be used for coffee prep (especially good for rescuing precious kitchen counter space from a bulky machine), protein shakes, juicing, and more.

Easy Coffee Prep in Master Suite

This outdoor-focused home provides a variety of porches and decks for relaxed alfresco entertaining. The master suite invites owners to kick back in the enormous shower or showpiece tub. Connecting to both this suite and the study, a wet bar makes it easy to prepare a morning espresso without setting foot in the kitchen. Two more bedrooms share a bathroom with two sinks all the way across the home. Everyone can hang out together by the fireplace in the lodge room or at the kitchen’s spacious island. This home is available in several different sizes to fit your square footage needs. See more images, information, and the floor plan.

A mixture of stone and shake lends an earthy feel that incorporates the home with the surrounding landscape. A series of bay windows on the rear maximizes views from every room. The main level features an oversized great room, octagonal dining room, generous kitchen, a bedroom/study, and the well-appointed owner’s suite with its spectacular bath. On the lower walkout level, a rec room and wet bar form a fun hangout for the occupants of the three bedrooms—each with his or her own bathroom. See more images, information, and the floor plan.

This bestselling plan features a wet bar tucked into the corner of the open great room, creating a cozy place for guests to fix their own drinks. The layout wraps around a side courtyard to maximize indoor-outdoor living. Near the front, a secluded guest bedroom accesses the courtyard, granting extra privacy to visitors or an older child. Owners can take a nap on the hanging bed right outside their private suite on a covered pavilion. See more images, information, and the floor plan.

Smoothie Time

Filled with storage and practical amenities, this layout presents a hardworking home for a busy family. A bench with cubbies greets you at the entrance from the garage, making it easy to take off shoes and stash backpacks. The morning room combines a traditional breakfast nook with the larger dimensions of a dining room for an all-purpose eating area that doesn’t feel stuffy. Next to the island kitchen, a wet bar lets owners blend up a smoothie without getting in anyone’s way. A study gives a space for homework. Upstairs, all four bedrooms enjoy easy access to the laundry room. See more images, information, and the floor plan.
