Denver-based Lita Dirks & Co. was selected as the interior designer for the BUILDER and Taylor Morrison NEXTadventure project because of the company’s expertise and knowledge on designing for 55-plus buyers. CEO Lita Dirks impressed the NEXTadventure project team with her recommendations for improving the plan only seven months before the project was completed.

Dirks and her team, Jenn Watson and Amy Miller, spent countless hours pouring over the design and integrating their past experience along with the new data that was pulled from consumer surveys. The end result is the NEXTadventure home, a true best practice in design for 55-plus buyers.

Their key learnings are compiled in this downloadable paper, “The Big Seven for the 55-Plus Buyer.” These insights will help builders capture some of what the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University has stated is a $13 billion opportunity. This number represents the sales associated with renovations so that homeowners can age in place. But, new-home builders also can cash in on this by incorporating the features in this downloadable sheet in their new developments.
