Developer Foremost Companies announced the groundbreaking of The Terrace Club, a 20,000-square-foot recreation clubhouse offering resort-style amenities. The club is exclusively reserved for 55+ residents at Terramor, Foremost’s new, master-planned community in Riverside County, Calif., and is expected to open summer of 2018.

Once completed, the Terrace Club will feature both an indoor pool and an outdoor pool with surrounding cabanas. The club emphasizes active living, and will include an extensive fitness center, tennis courts, bocce ball, and pickleball courts. A variety of classes will be offered at the gym and wellness studio, and locker rooms will include saunas for post-work relaxation.

The Terrace Club is intended to be an extension of residents’ own homes, Foremost says. The living room, crafts room, and multipurpose rooms offer an alternate environment for relaxing, gathering, and entertaining.

“Breaking ground for the Terrace Club is an exciting milestone for the Terramor community,” says Steve Cameron, president of Foremost Companies. “We wanted to create a sense of place at Terramor and provide the kind of atmosphere and amenities that allow residents to live active, social lives in a thoughtfully-designed and beautiful community.”

The Terrace Club will cater to residents of Terramor’s 55+ neighborhoods, promoting active living within the natural setting. Its six-acre outdoor area offers views of the rolling hills and access to a five-mile trail system.

In addition to the Terrace Club, Foremost is building another clubhouse and pool retreat called The Veranda. Designed for all ages, The Veranda will offer a fitness center, event spaces for community gatherings and private party reservations, an outdoor pool with sundecks, restrooms and a changing area, a toddler pool with beach entrance, as well as covered barbecue and game areas for the whole family.
