Located along the Ruskin, Fla., canals that lead to Tampa Bay, two new model homes in the Southshore Yacht Club waterfront community—developed by Lennar’s luxury WCI brand—are designed to enhance the marina lifestyle, from fishing and boating to simply enjoying the views.

Dubbed Pompano and Sandestin, the new plans vary in price and style, but both maintain the community’s coastal architecture, open-concept design, and luxury features. For homes on the canal, the plans offer waterfront vistas from several rooms in the house, including the kitchen, dining room, living room, and the master suite.

Each home offers a covered back patio with access from the master suite as well as an optional outdoor kitchen. The homes all have modern, upgraded luxury features available to buyers, including quartz countertops, a built-in double oven, gas stove cooktop, and a tile roof. The waterfront homes are able to have a dock and boatlift added after the home has been purchased.

The Pompano is a two-story home with a new feature for WCI—an elevator for easy access to the second floor. The home has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bath, and a three-car garage with a large loft, flex space and a second-floor balcony. The 2,732-square-foot floorplan starts from the $600s.

The just lightly larger Sandestin is a two-story home with four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and a 2-car garage, and also contains additional living space with a flex room, large loft and a second-floor balcony. The home has extra storage areas with a large storage closet downstairs and an oversized pantry. The 2,875-square-foot floorplan, without the elevator, starts from the $530s.

“Each home has a wide range of appealing features for buyers—whether it’s extra living space in a loft, a waterfront patio and balcony, or an elevator,” says Mark Metheny, division president for Lennar Tampa, the parent company of WCI.

A dog park and clubhouse with a resort-style pool also recently opened in the community.
