A newly refurbished 7,500-square-foot six-bedroom townhouse has recently hit the market on E. 62nd Street in Manhattan.

Originally built in the early 20th century, the six-story building has undergone an extensive renovation to seamlessly bring together the best of traditional and contemporary design, says real estate agent Jed Garfield. Several of the building’s traditional features include a limestone façade and striking central staircase while updates include radiant floor heating and home automation system.

Other features include floor-to-ceiling windows, a raised roof deck, Nana Wall glass curtain walls, a glass-enclosed wine cellar, sauna/stem room, and a four-passenger elevator. The home is currently for sale for $18.5 million.

“With its remarkably high ceilings, windows offering soaring views of the city, and even a sitting room with its own bar, this spacious and versatile townhouse is ideal as both a luxurious family home and a space for entertaining and impressing guests,” says Garfield.
