Systems-Built Housing Awards Highlight Versatility of Panels, Modular

1 MIN READ

The NAHB’s National Building Systems Councils recently announced the winners of its 2012 Jerry Rouleau Awards for Excellence in Marketing and Home Design, and the projects speak to the versatility and endless possibilities of modular construction and panelized systems.

“This year’s award winners are a testament to residential marketing and home design concepts,” said 2011 BSC Chairman Harry Junk. “Despite a sluggish housing market, our award entries indicate the high amount of innovation and functionality in the systems-built industry.”

The annual design and marketing competition recognizes systems-built homes using concrete, log, modular, and panelized homes. Award recipients cover the spectrum of the building systems industry, NAHB says, from diminutive cabins to sprawling estates, and interactive websites to inspirational marketing booklets.

“It’s great to see how this program and our members continue to make positives strides for the building systems industry as a whole,” says Junk.

This year’s judges gave out 23 awards to manufacturers and builders in the systems-built industry. Here are some that stood out.
