Aspiring porch pirates beware. There’s now a video doorbell that protects packages. And takes really nice videos of you.
Vivint Smart Home (NYSE:VVNT) Wednesday introduced the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro, an AI-powered doorbell camera that intelligently detects packages and actively helps protect them from porch pirates and other potential threats.
The Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro has the industry’s first 180-degree vertical and horizontal field of view, along with a 1:1 aspect ratio, soboth the faces of tall visitors and packages left directly below the camera can be seen. The camera’s Smart Sentry analytics will intelligently detect a package and actively monitor the porch to keep it safe. If someone attempts to steal a delivery, Smart Sentry will activate the camera’s deterrent features—a flashing red LED light ring and a warning tone to alert the person that they have been spotted. It also triggers a notification to the homeowner’s smartphone.
