(Inman News Features) – Buyers who hire David Weekley Homes won?t have to get their shoes muddy to check on the progress of their home?s construction. The Houston-based volume builder has launched an Internet service that allows buyers to view their house online as construction work progresses.

The MyDWHome.com service is password-protected to the buyer?s account and will host a series of photos of the home as it’s being built.

The Web site also allows buyers to communicate with the building and sales staffs.

“We understand that choosing a home is a very personal decision and home buyers want to be as involved as possible during the construction process,”said company chairman and founder David Weekley. “However, most consumers are extremely busy and may not always have the time to drive out to the site.”

Construction photos for each house are updated several times during the jobs and are archived.

David Weekley Homes constructs houses in 14 markets nationwide, including Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Denver, Orlando and Tampa.
