Homes.com Launches New Site With Upgraded Home Search

New search features include algorithmic visual search tool and match scores for each search result.

Homes.com has partnered with digital agency Grow to reimagine its home search platform and create an entirely new website, which launched on Monday.

The home search platform has been upgraded with new features for both for the consumer and for the listing agent. Homes.com Snap & Search, currently in beta, uses machine learning algorithms to provide home listing matches for user-uploaded photos. Home buyers can the Snap & Search tool to upload images of homes they like and receive recommendations for listings with with similar looks or features. Homes.com Match surveys users for their “must have” and “nice to have” home and community preferences, and then prominently displays a “Match” score based on their answers.

Other search upgrades include auto-generated descriptive listing headlines, flexible price searches that display homes around the user’s desired price, a streamlined one-click route from search results to the house details, and better search and organization capabilities for the user.

The site’s new industry facing features include clear identification of the listing agent and broker on the listing details page. Homes.com has also launched a new advertising option, Homes.com City Sponsor, which will integrate prominent ads into search results that mirror the look of non-sponsored listings.
