NOW, O2 INTERACTIVE IS OFFERING SMALL builders a Web-based system that handles sales, warranty management, and options selections all in one software package. The software, OnSite Customer Relationship Management, integrates with Intuit’s Quick-Books and Master Builder. Builders can purchase OnSite on an application service provider basis for a monthly fee of $125/user/person. Discounts are available for builders who sign on five or more users.

“OnSite lets us track all our home buyer information in one place,” says Pat Millay, vice president for construction at San Diego–based Del Mar Heritage, one of three home builders now using the software. Del Mar, which builds about 200 units a year, integrates OnSite with QuickBooks.

The builder specializes in mixed-use urban infill and suburban projects. The company enters all the basic customer information into the sales system, then has the customer sit down with a salesperson to select the options.

Del Mar will also give customers a user name and password so they can view the options on the system via the Internet and be better prepared for selections meetings.
