Sherwin-Williams’ ColorSnap Visualizer App has been updated with a new Instant Paint feature, which allows users to preview any of Sherwin-Williams’ 1,500 on a wall space in real-time using cutting-edge AR technology.

The Instant Paint feature uses a smartphone’s camera to instantly recognize walls in a three-dimensional space. Users can tap on any wall in the camera view to “try on” a new color. The app also allows users to create custom color palettes and to share their visualizations.

“Using emerging AR technology, this new feature virtually transforms a space before picking up a brush,” says Meghan Vickers, Sherwin-Williams e-business marketing director. “Instant Paint provides a fast, seamless way for homeowners and professionals to build confidence during color selection.”

The Instant Paint feature is available on the English version of the ColorSnap Visualizer app for North American users. It is compatible with AR-capable Android phones and with the iPhone 6 and above running iOS 11 or higher, though users with earlier phone models can still visualize a new color in a space by uploading a photo and digitally painting the walls. sherwin-williams.com
