CertainTeed has partnered with South Carolina-based builder Stoneledge Properties to offer CertainTeed’s Apollo II solar roofing system as an optional upgrade in South Carolina’s first luxury solar development, Le Jardin. The gated community is set to contain 64 home sites on 55 acres in Greenville, S.C.
“CertainTeed Solar is proud to team up with Stoneledge on this exciting project that focuses on sustainable living in a luxury setting,” says Mark Stancroff, director of CertainTeed Solar. “Stoneledge has a rich history in the industry and supports our mission of providing efficient and aesthetically-pleasing solutions for homeowners.”
The Apollo II system is designed both to generate energy for the home and to preserve the look of a traditional roof, providing a cleaner look than a standard rack-mounted system. Given Le Jardin’s focus on architectural integrity and consistency, the product fits in seamlessly with the community, according to both Stoneledge and CertainTeed.
“Since Le Jardin has an incredible emphasis on design and green building, we felt it was only fitting to offer our homeowners the best in solar – the natural choice was Apollo II,” said Chris Bailey, builder and founder of Stoneledge Properties. “CertainTeed has been a trusted partner for some time and we hope to continue our track record of creating sustainable and beautiful homes together.”
