Firm Description

HGA is a national multidisciplinary design firm rooted in architecture and engineering. Founders Richard Hammel, Curt Green, and Bruce Abrahamson established a collaborative, integrated approach to superb modern design. From their first basement office in 1953 the firm has grown to 11 offices from coast to coast: Minneapolis and Rochester, MN; Madison and Milwaukee, WI; Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, and Sacramento, CA; Alexandria, VA and Washington, DC; and Boston, MA. Our over 850 employees form a network of expertise across office and discipline to serve clients from diverse markets. HGA’s work has received numerous awards throughout our history—from our own industries, as well as those of our clients. Equally as meaningful to us is the shared impact we create with our clients through purposeful design that speaks to the human experience.
