Scottsdale, Ariz.-based AV Homes has purchased 18 acres in the state’s West Valley for the future home of its Sunleya Development.

Sunleya will feature 85 homes targeting first-time and move-up home buyers in Peoria, Ariz. The site is close to Loop 303, a major highway in the area, which is a selling point touted by AV Homes. The proximity to Loop 303 provides access to jobs, shopping, entertainment, and recreation with nearby Lake Pleasant, Ariz.

The development will include four unique floor plans to choose from with flexibility to accommodate individual lifestyles. Models are scheduled to be available this fall.

AV Homes Arizona Division President Chris Haines is fan of the location. “We decided on the name Sunleya because it fits the area and the community we are creating – a combination of sun, meadow and relaxation,” Haines said in a release. “We are very excited about the opportunity to provide beautiful new homes in a park-like setting, and meet the growing demand for homes in the West Valley. Sunleya will be a nice follow-up to our popular and highly successful Stonebridge community in Peoria.”

AV Homes, No. 24 on the BUILDER 100 list, first introduced itself to Arizona in 2010 and currently has 10 active communities in the Valley.
