CalAtlantic Homes (NYSE:CAA) over the weekend held grand openings at communities in Southern California and outside of Dallas.

CAA’s Indigo at Escaya, Valencia at Escaya and Castellena at Escaya in the The Village of Escaya master-planned community in Chula Vista are open for sale.

“Homes at Escaya reflect this area’s early California ranchland history, and the sense of community that made South County such a desirable locale,” said Bill Ostrem, San Diego Division President for CAA. “Neighborhoods are linked by paths and paseos, making it easy for residents to connect with each other and with Escaya’s master-planned amenities, including a 10-acre community park, a private swim club and fitness center, and a planned centerpiece Village Center.”

With nine new home designs to choose from, The Village of Escaya has options for a wide range of home buyers – from singles and families with children to multi-generational households, empty nesters and retirees. Homes range from 1,950 to 2,165 square feet at Indigo at Escaya; 1,988 to 2,314 square feet at Valencia at Escaya; and 2,902 to 3,349 square feet at Castellena at Escaya. All floor plans offer four bedrooms, with three to three-and-a-half baths. The homes feature Ranch, Farmhouse or Traditional Spanish exterior styles that reflect the area’s rich heritage. Pricing starts in the low $500,000s at Indigo at Escaya, the mid $500,000s at Valencia at Escaya, and the mid $600,000s at Castellena at Escaya.

Home shoppers at Escaya can expect thoughtfully-designed features like large, welcoming front porches and an open concept plan that merges spacious Great Rooms with dining areas and gourmet, center-island kitchens. All homes also feature generous owner’s suites with a spa-inspired bath.

Select plans offer a first-floor bedroom and full bath – some with a private entrance – ideal for overnight guests or multi-generational families. Other options within the Escaya neighborhoods include flexible bonus rooms, private decks off of the owner’s suite, a third-car tandem garage and outdoor California Rooms that take full advantage of San Diego’s idyllic climate.

All three neighborhoods are located within The Village of Escaya, a master-planned community located in Otay Ranch in San Diego’s South County. Totaling 450 acres, The Village of Escaya mixes Chula Vista’s natural surroundings with abundant lifestyle amenities including an eight acre neighborhood park with basketball courts and an amphitheater-style lawn, clubhouse with a large pool and fully-equipped fitness center, and the future home of The Village Center, which will include a neighborhood market and coffee shop.

The Village of Escaya is minutes from neighborhood shopping, the Otay Ranch trail system and nearby Otay Ranch Regional Park, which extends to the ocean. It is also convenient to I-805, offering direct connection to the greater San Diego area. Children living within The Village of Escaya are eligible to attend Wolf Canyon Elementary School, Rancho Del Rey Middle School and Otay Ranch High School.

Back east a bit, CAA is now selling six townhome designs at River Walk at Central Park – a new community offering a way for home buyers to attain “center-of-it-all” living and the serenity of Central Park in the heart of Flower Mound, Tex.

“Life at River Walk is described as a community within a village, within a town, within the dynamic Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and that is very accurate,” said James Gomez, Dallas Division President for CAA. “Residents here enjoy all of the perks of urban living, but in an intimate collection of just 72 townhomes and a very welcoming, community-centric park setting.”

The townhomes at River Walk at Central Park range from 1,872 to 2,137 square feet, with three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths. These home designs feature stone and brick exteriors, setting an elegant tone that continues into sophisticated, open concept interiors. Upon entering the homes at River Walk at Central Park, residents and guests are greeted by bright, welcoming foyers that lead into generous family rooms and modern, center-island kitchens.

Additional features include volume ceilings with abundant windows, a second-story owner’s suite with a spa-inspired bath, and balconies and courtyards that extend living spaces to take advantage of the sunny Texas climate. Select floor plans offer a bonus room that can be personalized as a study, media room or other use to meet the needs of each unique homeowner. Pricing begins at $357,990.

River Walk at Central Park is part of a 158-acre mixed-use development, of which nearly one third comprises parks and open space. The balance integrates sought-after Flower Mound shopping, dining and entertainment destinations, as well as office, medical and civic uses – all within walking distance for residents. The centerpiece of the community is Central Park, boasting a future 3,000-seat amphitheater, splash pad, restaurant row, shopping and a scenic river.

River Walk sits between the world-class Lewisville Lake and Grapevine Lake recreation areas, which together offer an 18-hole golf course, swimming and picnic areas, camping, boating and walking trails. The larger Flower Mound area includes 54 parks and miles of walking and equestrian trails.

River Walk at Central Park is just 21 miles from downtown Dallas and 12.5 miles from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Children living within the community are eligible to attend Flower Mound Elementary School, Lamar Middle School and Marcus High School, all within the Lewisville ISD – Flower Mound schools, and none more than two miles away.
