David Weekley Homes and Highland Homes have opened the first two model homes at Mantua, a 3,000-acre master-planned community developed by Risland, located north of Dallas in Van Alstyne, Texas.

David Weekley’s model home features its Forreston floor plan at 1616 Swan St., while the Highland Homes model features the Davenport floor plan at 1604 Swan St. Prospective buyers will be able to tour each home, learn about the variety of floor plans available, and take a look at the community’s amenities in progress, including a welcome center, a resort-style pool, community gardens, and multi-use trails.

“It’s truly exciting to see the opening of the first model homes at Mantua,” says Michael Hanschen, vice president of development at Risland. “On one side, we have Highland Homes, an eight-time People’s Choice Builder of the Year award winner. On the other, we have David Weekley, one of the largest and most admired home builders in the country. Here at Mantua, both are bringing the incredible level of quality, customer service, innovation, and architectural beauty that have made them among the most trusted home builders in America to our new community.”

Homes at Mantua will be priced from $295,000 to $500,000 and up. Future development will include commercial and retail spaces, as well as an elementary and a high school.

“We’re working around the clock to ensure that Mantua is one of the most sought-after master-planned communities in DFW,” Hanschen says. “Model homes from Risland and Perry Homes will be open later this year, adding even more options for families who want to settle in the community.”
