De Young Properties opened its new Model Home Center, located at the Leonard Welcome Center in Clovis, Calif., on Saturday, May 19th. The site includes five new model homes, plus a new SmartHome Experience Center.
The five floor plans modeled at the new Model Home Center include the one-story Italianate plan and the two-story Tuscan and Cottage plans. The models range in size from 1,600 to 3,290 square feet, and showcase a variety of flex selections, including multi-generational designs and first-floor bedroom suites. Each model also incorporates De Young Properties’ SmartHome technology package.
The SmartHome Experience Center is an interactive display of the home automation and energy-efficient technology available in the De Young SmartHomes. Visitors will be able to see and interact with the technology that is built into the home, whether it is visible in the finished product or hidden behind the walls. Features on display include Zero Energy technology, De Young’s ControlSmart home automation, a Performance Sealed Attic design, framed 2×6 walls, high efficiency lighting, and high performance water heating.
The public is invited to tour the new model homes and to learn about the energy-efficiency techniques and home automation technology at work in the builder’s smart homes.
De Young Properties is currently selling new homes starting in the low $300,000s in three communities in Clovis: De Young Trailside, The Highlands by De Young, and De Young EnVision, the largest zero net energy community in California.
