On June 24th, 2017, KOLTER HOMES opened its first-ever North Carolina community, Cresswind Charlotte, with an invitation-only model preview event for interested active adult residents. This event allowed the community’s prospective home buyers to tour Cresswind Charlotte’s first phase of model homes and potentially secure a home before the community’s official public opening later this month.

Cresswind Charlotte is the sixth Cresswind-brand active-adult community in the Southeastern U.S. At full build-out, the community will contain 850 Craftsman-style homes across 270 acres of woodlands, starting in the mid-$200,000s and ranging up to the $800,000s. The ranch-style homes are low-maintenance, energy-efficient and feature manicured landscaping. All include gourmet kitchens and large master baths, with game/flex rooms available as an add-on.

Amenities include an 18,000 square-foot clubhouse, a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, and tennis, pickleball and bocce ball courts. The community will also host a full time activities director, and include an event lawn.

“Cresswind Charlotte embodies a lifestyle designed for our residents to have healthy and meaningful lives,” says John Manrique, Vice President of Marketing for KOLTER HOMES, in a statement. “There are endless opportunities for residents to mingle with neighbors, volunteer for local charities or join a club geared toward their interests. It’s so much more than just a beautiful neighborhood with great homes, it’s a way of life.”

The community is located 13 miles each of Charlotte’s city center, which KOLTER considers one of the best 55+ community locations in the region. This location also provides convenient access to the nearby airport, highways, national forests, and the U.S. National Whitewater Center, among other attractions. The nearby town of Mint Hill, located just a few moments from Cresswind, offers shopping, dining, and access to the public Larkhaven Golf Club. The Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center, will also offer easy access to health care for residents.

“It’s very rare to find a place to live where you can walk from your front door to a doctor’s appointment,” adds Cresswind Charlotte Project Director Kyle Rush. “Cresswind Charlotte checks off every box in what buyers are looking for – convenience to daily necessities; endless opportunities for socializing and clubs; easy access to great entertainment, dining and shopping yet refuge from the hustle and bustle.”

KOLTER’s active Cresswind communities are located in Lake Lanier, Victoria Gardens, Charleston, Charlotte, Myrtle Beach and Peachtree City.
