M/I Homes

As M/I Homes continues to stretch out in the Houston region, it has closed on nearly 200 acres for a new self-developed community.

The 180 acres will become Berryknoll, a new community along FM 2854 in the Montgomery area.  Berryknoll will offer 250 homesites ranging from 70-foot-wide to an acre and is slated to open in spring of next year.

“The opportunity for a new home on a large, even acreage homesite in a planned community is rare in this area,” says Jay McManus, Houston division president for M/I Homes. “Add in amenities and a location near Lake Creek High School with convenient access to Lake Conroe, and you have plenty of reasons to consider a new home in Berryknoll.”

Amenities will feature ponds, trails, a covered pavilion with tables and seating, a playground, open lawn, and pickleball courts. The houses, which will be exclusively built by M/I Homes, will range from 2,242 to over 3,600 square feet.

The farmhouse-inspired elevations will feature three- to six-bedrooms, open-concept design, and optional three-car garages. McManus says the larger homesites will allow for garages to face the side of the home rather than the front.

While selling in 11 Houston-area communities, M/I Homes is developing Summerview in Fulshear and Moran Ranch in Willis in addition to Berryknoll. In partnership with Johnson Land Ventures, M/I Homes is developing Sorella in Tomball.
