Richmond American Homes of California, a subsidiary of M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: MDC), is opening a new community in the Palmdale area.
Richmond American is now selling homes at Desert Rose, an addition to the Anaverde masterplan. Located on the west side of Palmdale, Desert Rose offers a small-town feel with easy access to business hubs, area schools, shopping and Anaverde Park. This established master-planned community offers community events, two parks, a walking trail and its own K-8 school. The Anaverde masterplan is a residential-only community. A large employer in the area, Palmdale Regional Medical Center, is also located nearby.
At Desert Rose, homes are priced from the upper $300,000s. Ranch and two-story floor plans are available with Spanish, Italian and Craftsman-influenced architecture. Four floor plans are offered ranging from approximately 2,000 to 3,000 sq. ft. with 4 to 7 bedrooms and up to 3-car garages. The neighborhood will remain tight-knit with only 52 home sites available.
