Tri Pointe Homes has announced the acquisition of 481 homesites in two new for-sale communities in San Francisco Bay Area’s East Bay and North Bay.
The land transactions in Antioch and Vallejo fit the builder’s growth strategy and focus on building homes in locations with convenient access to major transportation and employment corridors, as well as educational centers and other community resources.
“Thoughtful planning is essential to Tri Pointe Homes’ goal of creating healthy and desirable communities, and it all starts with our very detailed, selective approach to land acquisition,” says Jeff Frankel, division president at Tri Pointe Homes. “The new homes in Antioch and Vallejo will cater to first-time buyers who are more open to commuter markets in the new post-pandemic environment of work-from-home options and changing office dynamics. With supply still low and home prices up nearly 40% in one year, there’s a serious need for new housing options in the greater Bay Area.”

Tri Pointe Homes acquired 295 homesites within Cielo at Sand Creek, a gated master-planned community located southeast of downtown Antioch. Its new neighborhoods, Rise at Cielo and Shine at Cielo, will comprise 154 and 141 single-family homes, respectively, with each neighborhood offering four different floor plans. The homes will range from 2,154 to 3,135 square feet with three to five bedrooms and two to three-and-a-half baths. Homeowners will also enjoy a community clubhouse, a pool, and a park.
Cielo at Sand Creek is situated within the Brentwood School District and proximate to The Streets of Brentwood, a major shopping, dining, and entertainment district, as well as the BART commuter rail and Mount Diablo State Park. Development on Rise at Cielo and Shine at Cielo is underway with sales anticipated to start in spring 2022.
The second acquisition consists of 186 homesites within Waterstone, a master-planned community located east of downtown Vallejo. Tri Pointe Homes’ Cascade at Waterstone neighborhood will offer select homesites with views of the Carquinez Strait, proximity to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, and a quick connection to interstates 80 and 780. Development on the neighborhood is underway with sales anticipated to start in spring 2023.
