Trumark Homes has acquired 5.66 acres of land in Morgan Hill, California, with plans to develop 101 townhome units and a mixed-use building on the site.
The Jasper community, formerly known as Monterey Gateway, will offer a choice of eight three-story townhome plans ranging from 1,403 to 2,270 square feet in size with three to four bedrooms and two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half bathrooms. The homes, priced from the mid-$800,000s, feature modern farmhouse architecture, two-car garages, and decks off living spaces in most plans.
The mixed-use commercial building will offer 2,147 square feet of ground floor commercial retail, with three units ranging from 614 to 1,095 square feet in size. On-site amenities will include landscaped paseo spaces, a swimming pool and whirlpool spa, a shaded barbecue area, and lounge chairs and community spaces.
Home values in Morgan Hill have risen 8.6% since April 2020, according to the Zillow Home Value Index, at about the same time as the South San Jose area is very short on home inventory. “From its on-site commercial space to its close proximity to Silicon Valley job markets, Jasper embodies the integration of home and office that so many of us are experiencing as part of our new reality,” says Tony Bosowski, Northern California division president at Trumark Homes. “Whether you’re working full time in the office or you’re simply looking for more spacious and affordable housing options outside of San Jose, Jasper will cater to a wide variety of home buyers and help create new inventory to support the burgeoning demand in Morgan Hill and surrounding markets.”
The community is located within a 30-minute commute to San Jose and less than 1 mile from the Morgan Hill Caltrain station.
