Legacy Communities is developing 41 home sites at Westside Landing, the final lakeside neighborhood in the Rough Hollow community in Austin, Texas. Legacy designed the land plan, home designs, interior finishes, and will be building all 41 homes.
All Westside Landing home sites will have lake access and are considered lakeside properties. Each home features farmhouse-inspired architectural design paired with three functional, three-bedroom floor plans centered on outdoor living. Optional upgrades include kitchen and master bath packages, versatile casitas that can be used as guest houses, studios, offices, mother-in-law suites or “man caves.” Lifestyle options include plunge pools and outdoor entertainment areas with outdoor kitchens.
“We really focused on creating a product that would complement the buyer’s lifestyle by positioning the home to maximize the views and sun orientation for energy efficiency,” said Cass Brewer, Legacy co-principal, in a statement. “We went into this project with a thorough understanding of the land and its composition, and worked hard to make each home’s architecture fit its specific location.”
Legacy broke ground at Westside Landing last month and site development work is underway with the expected first home sites to break ground second quarter of 2018. Home prices start in the mid $600s and Legacy is now accepting reservations.
All Westside Landing homes are “peak performance” lifestyle homes, constructed with high-efficiency, green building elements, and sustainable fixtures and finishes. They are the first homes with option net-zero capability, a solar energy package buyers can select that will eliminate electric costs after one year.
Westside Landing is a lifestyle community, offering privacy through nature and a lock-and-leave lifestyle. Homeowners will have full use of all Rough Hollow amenities, including the Rough Hollow Yacht Club and Marina, in addition to the extensive trail systems and hike-and-bike access throughout Rough Hollow. They will also include full use of Highland Village, Rough Hollow’s water-themed amenity, with the Laziest River, splash pads, children’s pool, adult pool with swim-up bar, all-season pavilion with demonstration kitchen, village green and open-air marketplace where residents can relax, socialize, dine and play. Additionally, Westside Landing will have direct connectivity to community trails leading to the lake and a kayak launch with an overlook deck.
“We are absolutely elated to have the opportunity to create this lifestyle neighborhood within the Rough Hollow community,” said Philip Jalufka, Legacy principal, in a statement. “This will be the final opportunity for a handful of discriminating homebuyers to acquire not merely a spectacularly elegant home on the south side of Travis, but also a socially and amenity-rich lakefront lifestyle.”
Legend Communities is the developer for Rough Hollow and was responsible for all of the horizontal site development construction at Westside Landing.
