AV Homes, with operations in Florida, Texas, the Carolinas and Arizona, has completed the integration of Raleigh-based SAVVY Homes, acquired last year, the company said Tuesday.

The newly branded AV Homes Triangle is opening new communities in the Raleigh and Durham markets during the first three months of 2018.

First quarter growth for AV Homes Triangle focuses on new home communities in Durham, Clayton and Wake Forest with a total of over 700 lots:

  • Tryon at Wake Forest (262 lots)
  • Gordon Park in Clayton (55 lots)
  • The Villas at Olde Liberty in Wake Forest (90 lots)
  • Berklee Estates in Wake Forest (67 lots)
  • Huntley in Durham/Brier Creek area (57 lots)

“One of the region’s largest home builders has become part of the AV Homes family — a move that elevates our community positions and home plans,” said Bill Kiselick, AV Homes Carolinas Division president. “As we further expand our market here in the Triangle and beyond, we want to be known as a builder with a good product. To make that happen we are researching consumer buying habits and are committed to customer satisfaction.”

AV Homes entered the Triangle in 2015 with the 325-acre 55+ community, Creekside at Bethpage in Durham County. With the SAVVY Homes acquisition, AV Homes now has a presence in the single-family new home market, including first-time and second-time move-up buyers, allowing AV Homes to cover all three key markets. The company recently opened a new phase of 55+ age-targeted townhomes in Creekside at Bethpage, a product that will be considered for other communities in the future.

“Acquiring a building company like SAVVY has been tremendous for our growth in the Triangle. It would have taken us nearly five years to get to where we are now,” continued Kiselick. “Just last year we only had one community in the Triangle and we’ve started the new year by launching six.”

While the two entities have remained separate brands, an aggressive growth strategy for 2018 has merged them into one under the AV Homes brand. New signage, website and social presence reflect the transition under the AV Homes and AV Homes Triangle brand.
