CalAtlantic Homes (NYSE:CAA) on Friday announced the openings of two communities, one in the state of Washington near Seattle, the other in North Irvine, Calif.

The Grand Opening of Maple Hills in the popular Covington area, just southeast of Seattle, is set for Saturday, November 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“Maple Hills is the only new home community of its size currently selling in Covington, with equally spacious home sites and floor plans that meet the needs of a wide range of home buyers,” said Ryan Kemp, Seattle Division Manager for CalAtlantic Homes. “It is the ideal place for residents wanting peaceful surroundings, while still being in convenient reach of Seattle’s urban core.”

Maple Hills will offer nine new, all-two-story single-family floor plans ranging from 2,703 to 3,500 square feet, with four to five bedrooms and two-and-a-half to four baths. Home buyers can select from a choice of Craftsman or Modern exterior styles, all expertly designed with a variety of color schemes for elegant and dynamic residential streetscapes. Pricing begins in the mid $500,000s.

Each home features an open concept design, with large Great Rooms and gourmet kitchens with large center islands. Residents will also enjoy a large owner’s suite with a spa-inspired bath. Large windows and covered backyard patios give home owners at Maple Hills multiple ways to soak in the area’s stunning natural views. Yards can be enhanced with upgraded landscaping and outdoor fireplaces to continue that experience and further personalize their home.

Situated in the heart of an established private community, Maple Hills offers elevated homesites – some with Olympic mountain views – and all with direct access to a community playground, pocket parks and greenbelts. Lake Wilderness and Lake Sawyer are also minutes away, as is Cedar River Trails, which welcomes fishing, dog-walking and biking.

Neighborhood shopping and dining destinations include Covington Esplanade, Covington Square, Maple Valley Town Square and the developing Lakepointe commercial center. Residents will also enjoy easy Eastside commuting, with convenient access to Highway 169 and Highway 516.

Children living within Maple Hills are eligible to attend Jenkins Creek Elementary School, Cedar Heights Middle School and Kentlake High School, all part of the Kent School District.

Down the coast, CAA is opening Travata at Cypress Village, a new community offering a mix of single-family, carriage-style and townhome floor plans in the only age-exclusive community to be built in North Irvine, CA.

The public is invited to experience the Travata lifestyle and tour eight fully furnished model homes during a Grand Opening celebration being held Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
