A piece of Dallas’ architectural history in one of the city’s most exclusive communities will be offered at public auction by Heritage Auction’s Luxury Real Estate September 27.

Built in 1954, the historic home at 3756 Armstrong Avenue was the creation of O’Neil Ford, known as the grandfather of Texas Modernism and widely recognized as one of Texas’ most celebrated 20th-century architects. Each of the custom-built home’s features was designed to integrate the timeless modernism of Europe with Texas-flavored early pioneer craftsmanship and materials.

“Highland Park is truly one of the finest and most singular communities in Texas and throughout the United States,” said Nate Schar, Director of the Luxury Real Estate division for Heritage Auctions. “The sale of this estate represents a rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to preserve and restore a piece of architectural heritage or to build your own dream residence.”

Built for privacy with a number of trees and mature landscaping surrounding the property, the home is built on an oversized corner lot. Measuring at .85 acres — the lot alone appraised for $6.1 million in February 2016.
