KB Home (NYSE: KBH) today announced the grand opening of The Canyons Villas, an enclave of ranch-style paired homes nestled among the rolling hills of Castle Pines, Colorado.

The new neighborhood is located in The Canyons, a new 1,270-acre master-planned community offering proposed resort-style amenities.

“We are proud to be opening our first new community in The Canyons, where our homes are designed with the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape in mind,” said Randy Carpenter, president of KB Home’s Colorado division. “With almost a third of this master-planned community dedicated to parks, trails and open space, our homes can provide a tranquil setting where the outdoors is a constant invitation to explore.”

The Canyons is Castle Pine’s newest master-planned community and just a short drive to Douglas County schools, shopping and dining. The proposed resort-style amenities include expansive parks, hiking trails and a community center with event space, fitness center, pool, coffee bar, lounge and kid’s zone.

The Canyons Villas offers one-story ranch-style paired homes with up to four bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, and range in size from approximately 1,400 to 1,700 square feet. These new KB homes feature spacious great rooms, gourmet kitchens, expansive master suites, covered porches and basements. Pricing begins in the low $500,000s.

Further west, KB Home is opening Sweetwater Place, a new residential community in San Diego County.

The new community offers a collection of two-story homes in an attractive Spring Valley location. Sweetwater Place is close to Highways 94 and 125, offering an easy commute to downtown San Diego and the area’s major employers.

“Sweetwater Place offers a range of home buyers an incredible opportunity to own a new home in a commuter-friendly location with easy access to major highways,” said Steve Ruffner, president of KB Home’s Coastal division. “The new community also allows home shoppers the ability to personalize their new KB home at a price that fits their budget.”

Sweetwater Place’s commuter-friendly Spring Valley location is close to job centers and just a short drive to Cuyamaca College and popular shopping, dining and entertainment. Outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy fishing, hiking and camping at Sweetwater Summit Regional Park. The new neighborhood is adjacent to a planned community park, which features an amphitheater, a children’s playground and picnic areas.

The two-story floor plans offered at Sweetwater Place have up to five bedrooms and three baths and range from approximately 1,800 to 2,100 square feet. These new KB homes feature great rooms, ample storage space and designer kitchens. Pricing begins in the $580,000s.
