Ashton Woods has announced the grand opening of a new model home in its Cadence community in the East Cobb area of Atlanta, Ga.
The Oxford model totals 6,676 square feet with 6 bedrooms and 6 1/2 baths. Upon entering the home, visitors are greeted by a large foyer with lofty ceilings. On either side of the foyer is a living room and a dining room, both with French doors opening the home to natural light and extending the space onto the brick front porch. The entry to the home features neutral tones with gold accents, hardwood floors and light-colored tiles, reminiscent of classic parlor entries while artful wainscoting details extend further into the home.
“The Oxford model showcases the best of contemporary design and timeless style, embodied in a truly stunning home in one of our most desirable new communities,” said Michael Malloy, vice president of Ashton Woods Atlanta, in a statement. “Whether you like metal or wood, light or dark, classic or modern, the experts at our Studio will help you bring your own vision to life for your Ashton Woods home.”
Here’s how Roswell, Ga.-based Ashton Woods designed the rest of the home:
The kitchen’s bright white colors and Ashton Woods finishes contrast with the dark hardwood floors. The kitchen features mixed metal accents with yellow gold light fixtures, satin nickel cabinet hardware, and matte black sink fixtures. A low bar joins the kitchen and main living room that is filled with natural light and features a large statement fireplace. Directly adjacent to the kitchen is a nook featuring vaulted ceilings with rustic wood beams and another fireplace with lounge seating. The living and lounge areas each provide access to their own back patios overlooking the yard.
The upstairs master bedroom combines rich dark wood with light accents in the furniture. The large master bath is almost entirely white marble with a contrasting walk-through shower and a deep garden tub.
The oversized walk-in closet features a quartz center island and thoughtfully designed storage options. Another upstairs bedroom is designed with the young baseball fan in mind, featuring a shiplap statement wall, red and blue accents throughout, and a full bath. The other two bedrooms feature fresh pinks and jewel tones, each with their own full bath, storage space and a connecting pocket door. The second floor also contains a dedicated laundry room.

The home’s walk-out basement is designed as a unique entertainment space, including a secret speakeasy-style poker room with a stone accent wall with lit display shelves and two-way mirror that provides a glimpse into the main basement area. A winding staircase leads from the hidden room back to the first-floor mud room through a secret door. A full wine bar, air hockey table, and large in-home theater in the main basement space make it perfect for entertaining guests of all kind. This floor also contains a guest bedroom with a full bath and an extra office or storage space.
Cadence is a partnership between Ashton Woods and Stanley Martin, with 33 homesites being future Ashton Woods homes in the single-family detached Legacy Series. The community features a pool with cabana and open green space. Outside Cadence, downtown Roswell and Marietta offer local boutiques and eateries nearby. Cadence is also located close to I-75, I-575, GA-400 or I-285 for quick access to the rest of Atlanta and beyond.
There are seven floor plans offered, and sales are projected through the end of April 2019 and closings through November 2019.
The Oxford model is available for walk-throughs daily. Prices start at $751,900.
