Starting midnight, Dec. 31, we get four to five 65+ Boomers every minute for the next 20 years

imageThe economic bust of the past five years has ended careers, depressed real estate assets, and crushed investment accounts intended for retirement. Still, the leading edge of the 76 million folks known as the Baby Boom, born between 1946 and 1964, appears to be taking harsh times in stride. Per a new AARP survey, “Seventy-eight percent of those turning 65 in 2011 say they are satisfied with the way things are going in their lives today. When asked to describe their feelings about the next five years, boomers chose the words exciting, fulfilling, confident, hopeful and optimistic.”
