LGI Sets Closings Record in 2016

The builder also set a quarterly record in 4Q.

LGI Homes, announced an all-time record for closings during a single month with 467 homes closed in December 2016.

In addition, the builder also announced record-setting quarterly closings of 1,139 homes during the fourth quarter of 2016 and finished out the year with 4,163 homes closed. This record-setting performance surpasses its previous record of 3,404 home closings in 2015 by 22.3%. At of the end of December 2016, the Company had 63 active selling communities.

“We are extremely pleased with our record-breaking year,” said Eric Lipar, LGI’s CEO and Chairman of the Board in a press release. “We continue to see robust demand for home ownership in our markets and uphold a positive outlook for 2017. Assuming that general economic conditions, including interest rates, and mortgage availability in 2017 are similar to those in the fourth quarter of 2016, we believe we will close more than 4,700 homes in 2017.”
