Sherwin-Williams is introducing a new edition of its the Extreme Bond Interior/Exterior Primer, designed to provide greater scratch resistance, water sensitivity, and hide and adhesion to difficult services.
According to the manufacturer, the waterborne urethane modified acrylic solution is ideal for use with hard, slick, and/or glossy surfaces that are otherwise difficult to prime. Recommended applications include: kitchen cabinets, tile, glass panels, plastics or PVC piping, wall laminates, aluminum, fiberglass, and varnished woodwork.
“Certain residential and commercial surfaces are time-consuming to paint and require specific performance attributes, which can impact professionals’ valuable resources,” says Rick Watson, director of product information and technical services at Sherwin-Williams. “The next generation Extreme Bond Primer solves this issue by securely bonding to these tricky surfaces, ensuring a smooth, high-quality finish while offering improved scratch resistance, water sensitivity and hide of the primer.”
The primer applies in one coat, dries quickly, and is compatible with a variety of top coatings, including epoxies and urethanes.
