Project Description
The Apartment project near Melbourne,Australia will be the first on a street rezoned low rise apartments.
The existing streetscape consists mostly detached single level dwellings all of which may be developed in the future. The rear of the site backs on to a lower density zone and care has been deployed to mitigate any adverse impact on their amenities.
The design initially used stacker type parking but a change of client heart led to a naturally ventilated ground floor dedicated to parking with upper floors containing a mix of studio, one, two and three bedrooms compliant with the new Clause 58 in Victoria. Part of the roof is dedicated to a communal space while the remaining north facing area houses a bank of solar panels.
