Project Description
Single family custom residence with separate guest house located on an extreme hillside property. The goals of the client were to maximize the limited buildable area to meet their specific needs, while creating a structure that incorporated sustainable design ideals.
The essence of the home is a combination of textured and smooth stone mass walls nestled onto the site between existing boulders & rock outcroppings. Four exterior materials are used; natural stacked stone, smooth faced composite stone panels, metal roof panels and glass. All materials run seamlessly from the exterior to the interior.
Rain water collection, photovoltaics, solar water heating, effluent water reuse, and siphonic drain systems are all located below grade or integrated into the design of the home and are hidden from
