Project Description
Highlander is a new, vibrant residential neighborhood that the nonprofit Seventy5North Revitalization Corporation is developing alongside Brinshore Development. The site is located in a part of Omaha that has been routinely underserved, on 23 acres straddling 30th Street between Parker and Patrick Streets. Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture is one of three architecture firms working with Seventy5North to design a holistically-minded neighborhood that gives the community access to mixed-income housing, educational opportunities and community wellness. The first phase, which is now complete, will include a variety of housing types: live-work town houses, multi-generational town houses, traditional town houses and apartment buildings. Future phases will include an educational enrichment complex, community garden, businesses, greenhouse and single-family, owner-occupied homes.
