Our Remodeling Consultant met with the homeowners of this beautiful beach home to find out there wants and needs. The homeowners needed a few pieces of vinyl siding repaired but wanted to completely remodel the exterior of the home. The homeowners had some concern about not being present for the process of remodeling the home, but we assured that there wouldn't be any unwanted surprises for them to come back to. As a rental property for the homeowners they were worried about the time frame of completely remodeling the exterior of the home. Our Remodeling Consultant proposed the siding, front and rear porches, window, & door options along with assurance that we would have the job complete before the house is rented out during the summer months. The homeowners decided on moving forward with the siding & window replacements and decided to hold off on the porch and door replacements. They weren't sure if they wanted to replace the existing vinyl siding with new vinyl siding or fiber cement siding. Since we live in an area with hot summers, we recommended using James Hardie fiber cement siding to help resist cracking, splitting, rotting, & swelling. The homeowners were so satisfied with the progress and performance of the siding and window replacement that they had decided they wanted to move forward with the front and rear porches and door replacement. The original pressure treated wood porches required a lot of maintenance such as yearly staining & painting. Since this was a rental home, the homeowners knew that they wanted a low maintenance, durable product that wouldn't fade the color from the strong UV rays that we receive in the Carolina's. Our Remodeling Consultant proposed Azek's capped polymer decking material that gives the enhanced wood look with a 30-year fade and stain warranty. This low maintenance product gave the homeowners peace of mind knowing that the product resists stains & scratches and yearly painting & staining was not necessary. The complete exterior remodel was completed in time for the home to be rented out for the summer & the finished project exceeded the homeowners wants and needs. Due to our personable communication level, the homeowner had peace of mind knowing the work was getting done efficiently.
