Project Description

HKA designed a new education 2-storied facility for the Maryland State Environmental Services. The Center is oriented to provide views of the waterfront as well as the downtown Baltimore skyline. Laboratory space, 3 classrooms, and outdoor spaces are available for visiting schools. The building features many green technologies: electric-producing photovoltaic panels, geothermal HVAC, batch water heating, rain barrels, and many environmentally-friendly materials.
