Project Description

The new 46,000-sq-ft medical and dental clinic expands International Community Health Services to the City of Shoreline. ICHS provides culturally and linguistically appropriate health services to improve the health of Asian Pacific Islanders and the broader community. The project site was selected near public transportation and the design includes a community garden space to promote connection with the surrounding community. The clinic spaces were planned to enhance medical team integration and allow for open and efficient staff communication. A third floor shell space was constructed for planned future expansion of medical services. The project was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.

The lighting fixtures complete the clean design of this contemporary clinic. The main entrance boasts the E5 | acanthus5 fixtures with trim flange, which is flush with the wood slats, creating a stunning portal to the building. Once inside, wall-mounted A4 | arcature4 fixtures and E2 | acanthus2 suspended fixtures welcome visitors and provide soothing, direct/indirect light in waiting areas, hallways, offices, and break rooms. The E5 | acanthus5 fixtures with a gyp flange were specified to create a sleek, modern look for the hallways. In the waiting area, the E3 | acanthus3 is recessed into the wood slat ceiling, continuing and complementing the design of the exterior facade.
